Welcome - Fáilte

On behalf of the Baton Twirling Sport Association of Ireland, I would like to extend a Céad Mile Fáilte (A hundred Thousand Welcomes) to all athletes, coaches, judges, delegates and supporters from all the member countries of the World Baton Twirling Federation.

We as a nation look forward to hosting the 4th International Cup and the 29th World Baton Twirling Championships in the Sports Arena of University of Limerick. The University is set in a 300 acre parkland site on the banks of the river Shannon and has very strong links to sport.

We are very honoured that the member countries supported our bid to bring these two prestigious events to Ireland and we assure you, our committed organising committee, will work tirelessly to ensure all of you, that your stay here will be a truly memorable one.

As President of the Baton Twirling Sport Association of Ireland, it gives me great pleasure to welcome to my country, all the friends from around the world I have made in the past 25 years of my involvement with the World Baton Twirling Federation.

Through this web-site we will keep you fully informed of our progress, as we travel towards our ultimate goal, which is to provide a fantastic atmosphere for our entire baton twirling community, and promote this wonderful sport of ours to the widest possible audience through the participation of our athletes at these two wonderful events.
