International Cup, 5th - 6th August 2008

At the 2005 World Baton Twirling Championships in Saint Paul, MN, USA, the WBTF introduced a new competition: the International Cup, and it has been run yearly ever since. However, in Ireland in 2008, it will be the last year it is to be run perpetually and alongside the World Championships. After 2008, these two competitions will alternate years, with the 5th International Cup being held in 2009.

There are currently five different events which are run across two levels and three age divisions in this competition, and there is a preliminary round, which leads to a final round of the top ten placements in each division of every event. The top three placements in the final rounds are awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
